Laminated Glass

Called safety glass laminate but not shatter when broken disperse. This is thanks to the intermediate layers of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) that unite the different panes of glass. For a better understanding of this effect, when the laminated glass undergoes specific impact, the shattered resembles a spider web.

The junction of the glass plates with PVB layers ensures better thermal and acoustic insulation.
We see this type of glass on the windshield of a car in shop windows that require greater security (eg, jewelers) or skylights.
